Job Summary

2nd Level Support Engineer - Back Engineer/O&M Engineer

I have 10+ Second Level Assurance/Back Office/O&M Technicians for 6-month rolling contracts in Romania.

You will be either Transmission or RAN Engineers with a good experience of Second Line support within the NOC.

Candidate Skills & Requirements

If you are a RAN Engineer you will:

Provide fault management on specific network nodes: BTS/TRC/BSC(for GSM), NodeB/RNC(for UMTS), E-NodeB(for LTE) with a knowledge of the following:

- knowledge of one or more of: GSM/UMTS/LTE architectures & network topologies & standards
- knowledge of access medium technologies: FDMA,TDMA,CDMA,OFDM
- experience of multivendor products:  NSN, Huawei, ZTE, ALU is a plus
If you are a TX Engineer you will:
Provide fault management on specific network nodes: point to point and point to multipoint microwave radio relays, SDH&DWDM MUX, ATM&ETH switches, IP routers, DSL modems&controllers
- knowledge of one or more of: microwave(P-P,PMP), SDH/DWDM/DSL/ATM/FR/IP/ETH architectures & network topologies & standards
- knowledge of transmission physical mediums: optical fiber, coax, twisted pair, air
- knowledge of data networking technologies is a plus
- knowledge of Core or RAN protocols & technologies is a plus
With each open role you must have an excellent command in English - you should also be willing to work on a 24/7 rota and be happy to travel abroad to Nigeria
