Site Controller – Telecommunications

GRA Networks is a leading provider of services to clients in the telecommunications industry. We provide a range of services including design, project management and construction. We specialise in the installation, commissioning and testing of critical infrastructure.

We are currently seeking a Site Controller with a solid background in mobile wireless installations and greenfield construction builds, to work on a variety of telecommunication projects across NSW.

Job description:

• Manage works on new green field sites and upgrades to existing telecommunications sites
• Liaison with clients to obtain necessary information and approvals
• Preparing and managing detailed work schedules and forecasts
• Scheduling of day to day activities including resource allocation, material deployment, organisation of plant and equipment
• Coordinating subcontractors
• Coordinating field staff including riggers, technicians and other technical resources.
• Assist with the preparation of estimates and quotations
• Monitoring and reporting on project budgets
• Provide technical assistance to field teams, assist in the identification and escalation of issues, and identify appropriate corrective actions
• Ensure that project documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure project performance is monitored, tracked and reported
• Ensure that works are completed in accordance with our QSE policies and procedures

Candidates should note that the position may require interstate travel at times.

Qualifications and Skills:

Successful applicants will have the following:

• A minimum of 5 years telecommunications experience
• Degree Qualified
• Experience as a field supervisor/site controller
• Solid understanding of mobile wireless
• Strong customer focus
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices
• The ability to review design and construction options with team members, designers and construction personnel
• Experience in performing site surveys and audits
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
• Experience with Telstra, Optus and VHA installations standards (Preferable)
• RAN, IBC, DAS, Small Cell and Microwave Transmission experience (Preferable)
• Experience in leading crews
• A valid and current drivers licence
